I say "inadequate" because my colleagues who were very knowledgeable were replaced by employees whose knowledge and skills are not even comparable. I am glad when someone gets the opportunity to work and learn new things, but does this company really need people who have incomparably less skills and talent than those who have left?

It will be okay. On our BU team meeting the other day they introduced a new primer document that explains what networking, cloud, virtualization and all of that is, for the newbies. They will be rocket scientists before you know it.
All of us went through the same newbie phase in our careers.
It's necessary to hire new folks, because you cannot have a thriving business with only old-timers -- because they will leave and retired.
But, new folks who have no experience should not be used to replace senior people with experience.
Everyone deserved a chance to prove their worth. All of us went through the same newbie phase in our careers.
It's all they want to afford, and all that want to work there?
