Well is UP that broke we can not work ANY overtime now??? And we are wasting to much gas???? It's getting forced down our throats again On morning conference calls and emails. What's next, park company vehicles at depot and go back and forth in personal vehicle??? I swear Class Ones get worse and worse every year. Has been since 2008 from what I've experienced.

Bean counters @ my location have arrived! 5280
Were saving lots of fuel at Bailey. No power means no trains can run. The power that is put on is lucky to make it 222 miles. It's a win, win.
How about a pay raise guys! What’s it been like 3 years? Ever notice treatment of average employees is never acknowledge but they want to talk about all of this being inclusive b.s. This place is going to implode if the real problems aren’t addressed here real soon.
I am giving out as much gas as my coworkers can take in this time of crisis. Just let me know when you need some gas from me.
Gonna be difficult to build America now.
@Fallopain, you are a worthless piece of sh-t. You are no better that the execs that we complain about all the time. Everyone on here complains about managers testing and harassing them. After reading your post I can’t blame them.
I actually put in effort to make sure my work doesn't get done until overtime. Pretty easy too. I also go out of my way to get in the way of trains working esp when they are short on time. If I can cause a recrew it's a win. My record is causing 4 recrews in a 12 hour shift. I'm gonna try for 5 this week.
Our overtime is wide open in locomotive mechanical. We seem to be really struggling with retention of employees including the people who actually come back from furlough. Lost another machinist this morning. The company needs to pull a rabbit out of its hat if it wants to hire and retain employees at this point. They show up, spend a few weeks and leave. The top tier executive class needs to be gutted. Quit promoting the people like Beth who are causing the problems and stop it with the woke bu-----t already!
Damn those free 50$ jackets crushed them LOL
They gave free coats last month. In the Midwest Cut budgets now Go figure.
IT/Telcom cut OT too. Up has record profits. They like to cut OT and other budgets around contract negotiations time. Seen it before.
I’m not saving any gas I’m letting it all out for my coworkers.
Work safer finish tomorrow what you could do today. c’mon people it ain’t hard to figure out.
Don't mind the overtime, bu-t I do mind that we get questioned and basically call us liars about what we found and fixed. I don't believe in being on call all the time either. Everyone deserves a few days off here and there. And I agree, us Grunts doing SOCs job is bu-----t. If we are doing SOCs job then we deserve SOC pay. Maintainers are getting burned out. Company just keeps putting more and more on us.
I dont want to work O/T anyway. Havent wanted it for last 10 years. Esp dont want it now that they want me to log in and do SOC’s job too. I dont want the company truck in my driveway either. When it came to trouble calls the name of the game was to go out, fix it, and then get back home ASAP. The BRS needs to negotiate a clause that if we take more than one call a week on our days off, we get a paid federal rest day. Bring back the reliefs. I am VERY tired of the terrible condition of the track causing O/T.
Any other work groups or depts hearing this cr-p too??
