I was working in IT for the brief time the system went down. We are totally unappreciated by this company. The website can be run from one room with minimal staff for up to three days. You think that kind of automation is easy? Do you know of another retailers IT department that can run 8 network machines and debug up to 2 million lines of code for what they are paying us? Get a life.
"Down for maintenance" Is a code for IT departments. It means call the manager who's company credit card still works and have them call the service provider.
I heard Sears is having a scratch & dent sale. The entire inventory of their large appliances are marked down!
Glad they're back online! I really wanted to purchase a Christmas sweater and an 8-track of The Partridge Family that I've been viewing on their website since 2008.
It's clear Russian hackers wanted to take out the USA's leading retailer Sears and took the site down but Transforms crack IT team defeated them.
Like anyone really noticed? I will only shop in one of those wonderful stores mentioned in the best areas of the country! Unfortunately, the nearest on is 800 miles away, and the rain washed the gravel off the trail. Guess I'll have to shop at a local rummage sale to get what I need.
I work in HE as one of the lead designers for all of our digital content. I am sorry that you experienced our outage early this morning. We were refreshing the site with some awesome new content to show off our shiny stores located in the best areas around the country. We also added additional content for the wonderful selection of tens of items which can be ordered online and picked up in our ten remaining stores. Keep an eye out for additional refreshes coming soon.
