Just posted, Marathon not paying a bonus or lump sum to employees at their 2 refinery’s that are for sale.

They are the lucky ones, I would give up my bonus to get an owner in who knew what they were doing.
William is a grade 'A' troll..
Move along.
I’m sorry I was incorrect and proven wrong by the latest news released pre market on 2/28. The Kenai refinery will enjoy their 19% bonus. I hope all employees are excited.
So basically if you take another job elsewhere, or reject the opportunity to keep doing the same or different job for MPC OR the new buyer... you get nothing.
Read article III section B very carefully. You aren't necessarily getting anything, if you're offered a chance to keep working and turn it down.

B. An employee who accepts any offer of employment, or rejects an offer of Reasonable Alternative Employment:
- From the Company; or
- From an employer in the MPC Controlled Group; or
- In the case of the sale of Company facility, from the “buyer” of the facility; or
- In the case of the change in the operator of a facility, from the “new operator” of the facility;
is not eligible for the termination allowance benefits.

I heard theyre giving the two for refineries sale double bonuses, and stiffing all of their current employees with nothing, because they don't like you.
100% untrue. To anyone reading this…TAP policy spells it out pretty clearly. Employees of the refineries in transition OR closure are not only eligible but WILL receive incentive pay according to scorecards. So at a minimum even in sale or closures, the corporate score incentive will be applied and dispersed. Don’t listen to the nonsense. Have a great day!
If you mean "in addition to what you are owed as an employee" I'm not sure what you mean. They don't owe you anything "Extra" just because you happen to work at a division they sell.
If you mean regular bonuses that are going to pay out before the sale is final, then yeah, they owe you that. If they're not due to pay out until after the sale is final, then no, they don't owe you that. That would be between you and your new management.
There’s no way this is accurate. We all know kenai is getting sold but that doesn’t mean MPC can withhold bonuses.
