How many full-line Sears stores and Kmart stores are still open? I believe there are 11 Kmart and 16 Sears stores remaining.

@mqe+1furJD8E That is correct. Hometown stores are counted as department stores because they sell mattresses and lawn mowers (at least 2 departments), so you have to count the pharmacy at Hoffman Estates. They have the Kmart sign above the door folks!
There are 12 Kmarts (two of them currently liquidating) and 17 Sears (one of them currently liquidating).
Kmart: Avenel NJ, Westwood NJ, Bridgehampton NY, Miami FL, Key West FL (liquidating), Hamilton MT (liquidating), San Juan PR, 4 in US Virgin Islands, Guam.
Sears: Braintree MA, Newburgh NY, Jersey City NJ, Willow Grove PA (liquidating), Frederick MD, Greensboro NC, Orlando FL, Palm Beach Gardens FL, Miami-Coral Gables FL, San Juan PR, El Paso TX, Whittier CA, Burbank CA, Concord CA, Stockton CA, Union Gap WA, Tukwila WA
No, it is 11 because we have to count the Kmart pharmacy at Hoffman estates as a store. Anything with a sign on it counts as a store!
6 of the 10 Kmarts are off the mainland on U.S. island territories so don't count on bumping into one on a road trip. LOL
