Is it because of the pandemic? I have submitted applications, gone on several interviews and with several companies and it takes months to hear back from anyone if you're even going to the second round!

If you’re talking about Citi, just move on man an interview somewhere else. you’ll be doing yourself a favor.
You always keep interviewing. The worse thing you can do is to interview and wait by the phone to hear back. Just keep plugging along and keep interviewing. Assume they aren’t interested until you hear back from them. Even if you have a second, third interview, keep interviewing with other companies.
