Problem is the more money you make and the more years you work at Boeing the more likely you are to get laid off.

There’s no long-term future at Boeing for most of their employees and the ones who don’t Realize this or making a mistake.

The thousands of older workers who have been let go at Boeing should have been a warning sign to most of the current employees who have their eyes open. Boeing does not want employees over age 40 years of age unless you’ve managed to become a manager or lead, And even those employees are replaceable. Forget Boeing and switch careers into a steadier industry witn a better corporate culture.

Whether red or blue, radical left, delusional right or sanely centrist, enough with labels already. Today’s political debate is a battle for truth and the rule of law, democracy vs. autocracy, and whether the greater good matters or is sacrificed at the altar of me and mine.

If the minimum wage goes up, no one is making less than that... Wow, always amazed how clueless and d-mb some people are...and most of them are Fox News watchers.

Can't imagine there would be anyone looking to get hired by Boeing these days? I guess if you were really desperate, less than intelligent and lacked any ethics, one might. It would be pretty hard to find employment at another company if one had Boeing on their resume.

Boeing was a great engineering company and place to work back when I worked there for 35 years from 1947 to 1982. Their pension plan was great too. I have lived off their pension for more years than I worked there. Boeing lost their way when they made Phil Condit CEO.

I would be much more worried about finding another way to make a living than how much more new employees are making than you if I were working at Boeing today. Sorry to say, Boeing won't be around much longer given the far better competition. Even this old mind can see that clearly.

Asking for more money and a level promotion is a fast way to get laid off usually. They only one level ones and twos so They can pay them less. Just one of the many reasons going to such a bad employer now.

Isn't that the truth?! Boeing provides a low, mid point, and max salary range for every job. The mid point is what they will pay new hires. The mid point goes up each year based on inflation and market demand.

However, Boeing refuses to increase the salary of existing employees to the new mid point each year, so employee salaries continue to fall below that mid point more and more every year. This means new hires are paid more than those that have been building the company.

Employees at Boeing are incentivised to leave the company or find another job within the company. Of course, Boeing is a woke company so Americans, whites, men, and people over 40 are discouraged from apply for job transfers within Boeing.

Hasn't that always been the case? Boeing has to pay the market rate to attract and hire new employees. The market rate historically increases faster than the annual Boeing salary increase rate.

This is why people jump companies every 5 years or so. Boeing even foolishly made this easier by eliminating pensions and only providing a portable 401k you can take to new company eliminating any reason to stay at Boeing for a long time. Typically only the daughters and sons of ex Boeing executives stay at Boeing for a long time anymore because they are on the rapid Boeing career advancement program. Everyone else either gets screwed or have to leave Boeing in order to significantly improve their income.

Boeing hasn't valued competent, experienced employees for many years. Boeing has only valued ja--ing up stock price to generate executive bonuses. Boeing has amply demonstrated they don't ’t even value human life.
