Thread regarding SunRun layoffs

Layoffs started!

Lots of CS’s and FPM’s were either let go today or offered other rolls or a severance package. Some incredible people were let go and some incredibly horrible people were kept around. Wild how many promises were broke. This company is out of control. It’s like a Capitan trying to sink the ship every few months while the crew struggles to keep it afloat.

As a non employee I'm watching a good young man who is my son in law , get treated like coal that one throws to the fire.
Expendable. He has been injured, gone thru he-l with his ankle after nearly breaking it. Ligaments tore. Being disabled by the absolute definition of workman's comp. If injured you are to be allowed to return work only when you are as you were the day you came to work the day injured. Not before.
My son in law worked light duty because he was loyal. It's wrong because they promptly asked him to start doing work that put strain on the ligaments, which ultimately caused them to tear completely. He then underwent surgery to have them reattached and he still limps and was just laid off where's the loyalty from sunrun in return. It's sending a horrible message to the workers of America today. That you can do all that you possibly can to be loyal get your job done make quotas do anything that your employer wants, and it doesn't mean anything because you're still going to get laid off or fired for some mismanagement from the higher-ups. It appears to me that if you don't have jobs in the solar industry it's quite possible you need to reconsider who it is that you have selling your product. Not just lay off 600 here 350 there and all the layoffs that have happened prior to the recent one August 3rd 2023.
I'm currently 61 years old disabled and it's due to the same type of treatment that my son-in-law has dealt with. My back is crushed my neck is broken and all because I didn't want to be unloyal to my employer. That's the way it used to be you just hid your injury and hope nobody noticed. Laws have changed, people's attitudes have changed due to the way that they're being treated in the job Force. America shows it too we're a second class country as far as the parts and products that we put out. You can't count on any of the racing parts or auto parts that you purchase now being good or even usable straight out of the box. Quality control is down, morale is down, and I would hate to say it but I believe gross national product of our country is probably down too. What comes of that? I'll tell you what comes next, nobody invests in the United States or its products or stocks and our banks will collapse. Because our banks have gone since the beginning of time funding both sides of the war. Making money off of war and people's lives. The mentality is come into the workforce now. This is got to stop. This is no better than General motors closing down their factory in Flint Michigan on Christmas Eve. They built a huge town built houses for everyone and made a booming economy and then yank the rug right out from under it. These kind of companies need to go. You need to leave the United States and have nothing to do with us because we don't need them and don't want them. And it gives the country a bad name allowing them to practice business within it. And I believe anybody else other then the current president and his cronies, would do far better than this president has done. There will be no help for this because he's not capable. You can only wish for the best and hope that these people will have other jobs that they can go to to make the kind of money that they made in equality to the pay at sunrun which was not extremely high in my opinion. Possibly industry standard. But in my opinion only not worth the risk to the human body that they put their employees through. I hope Sunrun does good. But it doesn't take a crystal ball to see that Pacific Gas & Electric are behind this. Turning a win situation to homeowners into a pitfall for PGE profits. You will have solar and it will be metered by PGE who will pay for it then double the rate and sell it back to us. Burn half of Nor Cal , then this ? The companies like this should be forced out .Sean C

There is no job security within sunrun. They are laying off the wrong people. The company is targeting the wrong department.
Management communication is what is causing the company to fail and giving the company a bad rep with Costumers. Projects take too long for activation; just checkout sunrun's reviews. They are bad and they all point at Management not the installers. There are too many chiefs and no Indians.

Do we know the scope and locations? Leadership (for my area) has made it sound like it was unviable markets that this happened in
