Looks like things might actually be improving.

VMware VMW is slated to release fourth-quarter fiscal 2022 results on Feb 24.
For the quarter, total revenues are expected to be roughly $3.51 billion, suggesting 7% year-over-year growth. Non-GAAP earnings are expected to be $1.96 per share.

I wonder how many have autorenew set? How closely do you read VMware and partner subscription fine print to the customer?

Not surprising. The rollover of customers from perpetual to SaaS licensing is in full swing. The real proof will come in the next 12-24 months when customers decide if they want to stay subscribed.
