Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Will GE ever recover?

I doubt very much that the current strategy is leading to recovery. I regret not leaving long ago.

Your decision shouldn't be based on GE's recovery. Rather it should be based on your goals, passions, and happiness ==> "I regret not leaving long ago."

When GE splits, you are going to have two healthy companies for sure: Aviation and Healthcare. Power will need more work and changes, but I wish them the best.

G.E. is in worse shape than ever because of its own dependence on the Chinese renminbi. You always take a chance when dealing with the enemy. We can only hope it does not go that far.

If you think recovery means going back to the ways things were when it was better and more carefree, then no, the current strategy is not leading to recovery. It's not designed to. GE has to change with the times and the days of doing things the GE way because it's big and powerful enough to make its own rules are no more. That way of business doesn't work anymore in the modern world. Not sure how many years you have until retirement but sticking it out might be your best bet.
