Nearly two months into the new year and still no layoffs. I'm pleasantly surprised.

It is not a surprise that after December. There is STILL no Mass Resignation like what has been sharing here. Obviously there is no place better than this company. Beside, there are folks keep telling others to quit and yet they didn’t. Instead waiting for their time for promotion.
I hope you don't think that you are safe?
