Now that work from home is ending again, does anyone know if Oxy is going to bring the departments together at Greenway? I have heard multiple people talk about never seeing team members and in some cases their management because these people are at Greenway and their management and many in their department are at The Woodlands location. It makes it hard to work together effectively and integrate when people don’t see large chunks of the team or management for months. It would seem to be cheaper for the company to bring everyone to Greenway or at least put them in one location or the other?

Move all to Dallas. MUCH nicer, better place and higher quality of life.
There's an abandoned campus in the Energy Corridor that would make a nice compromise location. Oh wait... never mind.
Since the topic of synergies was broached, I suggest we sublet Greenway, The Woodlands, Dallas and Denver and mandate WFH for all office based employees. Problem solved.
Move both Greenway and Woodlands to the Dallas office.
Shut yer pie holes. Making anybody start working at one when they’re located for the other is a sure way to lose those employees.
Or move the Greenway office to The Woodlands. Many people that worked at Greenway have transferred up to The Woodlands. It is also kind of hard to say people need to be together when we have spent the last two years apart.
This a great idea that will create even more synergies then what we have realized to date from the merger. For those who live in The Woodlands I believe there is a bus to Greenway. People living in Kingwood and Sugarland have had to put up with this commute before so why are Woodlands people so special that they get their own office. Oh, maybe because Oxy promised the city or county that they would stay. Have you ever heard the saying “promises are made to be broken”. It is a business decision and if people don’t like it they can quit. They probably should sell GOM anyway.
