Thread regarding ADP layoffs

ADP Unions?

New to ADP, so unsure of history. Has ADP ever had or currently have any worker unions?

Previous site leader once told me that if there were rumblings of unionizing, he’d have 48 hours to shut down that efforts or the entire site would be closed. This was an office that was 60% entry-level/call center, 40% back office and relationship management.

What about one formed for non-exempt workers? Probably a large group of people needing the protection.

I worked at ADP for 13 years. In general, I am not a fan of unions, but I think ADP is a rare case where a union is needed. I suggested a white collar union years ago.

Honestly, ADP treats their employees very poorly, and employee have little to no leverage in the conversation. There are laws that protect the formation of a union, and I expect ADP would play dirty.

I worked there for many years. I used to hear warnings that any rumblings about joining a union could get you quickly gone.

Ive never been asked to sign an authorization card. Ive never heard there have been attempts to unionize - how would people be divided into collective bargaining units? the jobs are so different.
