Seems like Marv is a little short these days. After spending all that money on the Vegas trip, and paying out those $6,000.00 bonuses, word is he is eliminating part timers for 5 weeks. This was confirmed on another thread. Anyone else heard this?

Local store has basically walk in interviews and hires. They will take whatever they can. No restrictions for part time hires.
Last year my store hired a bunch of part timers and didn't give them hours. It wouldn't shock me if they cut part timers for 5 weeks. Lowe's is so screwed up its not even funny.
I heard this too, but I checked on jobs that are posted for ours and our neighboring store, and there’s still a lot of part time jobs listed.
Marvin's going to pull his "Golden Parachute" out if the stock price drops under $175. Then he'll find a new company to do the same thing to.
