This is such truth. I can’t tell you how many pointless meetings there are taking up majority of the day with layers and layers of management. Not great use of time and shows how much overhead there is unneeded.
As long as the teammates don't have a medical emergency, or start a side business, or take any time off, or lose money in the stock market, or be on the wrong end of a housing crisis, develop a disability, or any of the thousand things that cause well-off Americans to stop being well-off, you have given good advice to work "hard" and go to "school" without student loans.
But in the vile US society most boomer generations has created for others there are tons of extremely common situations that can torpedo any wealth you've managed to accumulate
We worked in claims, and it's not full of flashy lux car drivers. It's a graveyard of people who did almost everything right and followed the US empire script. Pretending like this is the problem and that we can create a good society just by investing in the stock market instead of addressing the structural problem, the fact we have created an utterly broken system is not productive and disgusting. It's doody wrapped in the US flag.
