Thread regarding General Atomics layoffs

Expected overtime

I can understand having to do some overtime, but I'm so swamped that I have to work evenings and over the weekend sometimes to get caught up. Half of it is not even supposed to be mine to do. It would hurt less if I was paid extra for it but of course I'm not. Does it always stay like this? Is there a way to reduce my workload without risking getting fired?

Make sure you log all that time accurately. Then ask your manager to get you resources. If no response, go around them. You don’t need to get burned out. Everyone loses if that happens.

Yeah workload is interesting because people are leaving... not a good situation and I empathize with you as I’m on the same boat.

I’m currently looking to leave GA.
