I've been with the company over 20 years and only make 1 dollar more than new hires ! Just awful. You've left out a big base of your loyal workers.🤔☹

This post is 100% accurate. New Low level now getting paid the same if not more than mid level. New Mid level now getting paid the same as upper level. Previous low level leaving for anywhere to get paid more. Previous Mid level leaving for almost anywhere to get paid more. New Upper level getting hired off the street getting paid what 20 year employees make plus promise of only 40 hours and two days off and 4 weeks vacation day one. Now if you were lucky enough previously to have been in upper level through all of this, your pay is now frozen, you’ve been moved BACK to salary after being told of numerous previous lawsuits, you are no longer included in any major decision regarding your store, you are told you can only make more if you chose to be a store manager (which equates to a small pay increase but working 6 days 60+ hours a week with hopes of possibly becoming store director one day, oh and most likely have to move to some terrible town)…or go to corporate who has made starting pay less than that of a store department manager and harder to get into than the good ole boys club…you’ve got be a serious kiss a-s or be currently working at a golden store (one that will make money based on location and nothing more…but get treated like everyone there is heroes). Now, if you do decided to sell your soul and family life to Hy-Vee and are lucky enough to be store director, you’ll make 4X what an average full time employee makes even at the worst of stores. And if you make it into corporate and play the kiss a-s game well enough you’re guaranteed a hefty pay raise and a new title nearly every year…in a few years time you can easily become the next senior executive group Vice President director of whatever job was just made up at the last shareholders meeting. So yeah, there is no Wage adjustment for current employees, no more reward for loyalty. Why do people seem to be leaving at an alarming rate? Because almost all previous low-mid level workers can find better jobs that pay more day one. Long time upper level employees are most likely beyond the point of going back to 60+ hour work weeks and don’t want to either take a pay cut or be on call to who knows where to be at corporate…much easier just to start all over.
