What was VCIP paid at last year? With inflation being 7.5% this year, I'm surprised that VCIP was not paid higher this year.

VCIP is a one time bonus, and is partly based on Company performance compared to goals, and company performance sucked last year.
You should also get a yearly raise that increases your base salary for every paycheck from now until you leave.
That yearly raise is what you should be measuring against inflation. If it's less than 7.8% and you are in the US, you just got a pay cut, no matter what your VCIP is.
if you do your job they will have to pay at least 50% as your individual portion, it's part of your compensation plan and if that fu-k that up then more people is going to take off. but like other say... they change those magical formula couple time... the individual portion used to be much higher.
VCIP was paid out 138% last year. This year 80%. It’s really whatever magical formula they decide for the company component. Inflation has nothing to do with VCIP payout. Base salary is where you can measure against inflation.
With everything going so badly they had to sell the company to PE firms, I am surprised they are paying it at all.
