Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

AB back to office

JK made bunch of covid relaxations obviously for his leadership review and the convoy. Enbridge jumped right in and announced back to work almost immediately. Covid deaths still going up and comparable to previous waves. But safety is our number one priority.

The attention craving extroverts can't wait to go back. The majority of us - not so much. We enjoy not being interrupted when we are trying to focus and get our job done. Why must you spend all day talking do nothing else and keep calling everybody on Teams?

The people who want to go back to the office fall into the following categories (in my area, anyways)

Insecure management types who need to have eyes on their staff to justify their existence

Staff who are not performers and need to BS and spin things in person to survive

Also, the good folks who just genuinely need the routine and get out of the house. I don't believe everyone is wired to WFH. Mental health is something our industry doesn't take seriously imo

You could always just not go in to the office and keep doing your job from home.. see what they do?

It's a holy trifecta for kenney, here. 1- bank that Omicron subsides so it bodes well for him at Aprils leadership review 2- shore up the rural/evangelical ucp vote for the next election 3- most importantly, stick it to skippy trudeau during the time of unrest where skippys back is up against the wall.

This will blow up in his face just like the "open for summer" circus. Nothing to do with public health but looking after his own hide. He didn't even consult with the largest municipalities (because the mayors are brown? or maybe they would ask too many questions?)

We need to send this university dropout career politician who has never worked an honest days work into early retirement next year. Him and his boyfriend can move to France.
