Inflation vs WD compensation

  1. 5% inflation in last year. 3% ACR increases..cannot afford to stay here. CEO $35M in compensation. I hope he can survive this inflationary times. Poor guy.

Official inflation is 7.5%. That said, the method that the government uses to calculate CPI has been changed many times over the years. Several sites, such as Shadow Stats, still calculates inflation based on the original methods, and has stated inflation is 14.8% over the last year. Depending on what you spend money on, inflation can easily be seen to be 20% or more, as the original reply indicated. Any way you look at it, however, 3% is inadequate.

Real inflation, the one felt by my wallet, was more than 20%.
