We can complain to Lowe's that pay is bad, that benefits are bad, that a company squeezes people, etc. These are all sources of frustration.
However, poor relations among coworkers is a source of frustration that can't be blamed on Lowe’s. It has to do with people who work there.
In my store, bad vibes are being spread every day. And then I wonder, if this is such a miserable place to work already, can't at least coworkers have normal, fine relations, and not be just another big source of stress?

3dmd+1feDiFHm hit it right on the money. Employed relations does nothing. There's discrimination, harassment and se-ual harassment going in on every Lowe's and managers are the guilty ones.
There's going to massive lawsuits soon for it and when Lowe's loses millions what will the hedge fund tell id--t Marvin.
Yes, Lowe's Corporate is to blame for it. They enable the poor relations. Example: Employee relations has contacted at least 20 people in my store for legitimate complaints about my abusive store manager. He is still here. Employee engagement dropped 15 points, store manager is still here. Our store is the worst in the market and region for employee retention and he is still here. Couple that with non competitive pay, bad relations are being enabled....simple as that.
The pay scale is complexity out of whack with the rest of the economy. It’s forcing managers to hire people that couldn’t even make it at a fast food restaurant. Then they’re supposed to learn an assortment of computer programs and how to run power equipment. It’s just not achievable.
It is the fault of the company. Morale in my store is bad because of rampant favoritism, new hire cashiers making $4 more an hour than existing cashiers, inept management, lack of accountability. When you have long term dm’s and sm’s with literally millions in the bank, they are paycheck collectors, sitting in an office and don’t care about their ppl or store. Company allows this. Hotlines and town halls are all for show. If you do complain, you will be out.
Oh its definitely the company’s fault. Esp when the set up hotlines and town halls and still the problems are ignored, or in our store, escalated for snitching.
The higher ups know the toxic culture is rampant and they do nothing. I mean, look at Small Hands. Was he punished for his disgusting racism? Nope. He’s a star!
This new bonus means hard lean times ahead people. Learn from lowes history..they always reward before punishment.
This is quite a post. With this reasoning a serial ki---r isn’t responsible for his actions. The victims are just whiny idi*ts who need to take it easy.

They are to blame completely. Metrics on the z phones , Unreasonable Goals set by corporate, failure to adjust the pay rates, scheduling that adversely affects every working employee. No, you didn't cause any of this to happen. How's the stock price? Bottom Line
It is because they hire incompetent store managers that haven't got a clue what the sales associates do on the sales floor everyday.
