CVAD director of engineering moved there already. Others are to follow. There is no need for Amazon to pay billions for Citrix and millions to ELT when they can just hire away Citrix veterans, people who actually know underlying technology

@cgf+1feCCe4V I was just about to mention this... hey we have had a massive layoff, then after they said it was over they did another one and now layoffs are more likely due to the acquisition but yeah come to us after taking a punch down.
While Amazon and Microsoft are snatching Citrix veterans, Citrix is reaching out to recently laid off Peloton employees to plug holes with lowball offers. Virtual bikes on virtual desktops
Uh, the had to increase it.. They go through people like tissues. People are leaving and they are seeing a decline in the number of people applying.
They had to increase base because the stock growth isn't the same. Engineers total comp was falling behind the industry since RSUs portion is down. They have to increase the guaranteed base pay to makeup lost RSU earnings.
Director was a total douche.
Look at the reviews of work conditions and WLB at Amazon. Probably not a place you want to be at. Recruiters seem desperate to find people. However staying at Citrix under this PRSU fed, ELT is not worth it
All they did was change how they paid their employees, not how much. If you’re tc today is 250k at Amazon you can’t make more than 160k base and the rest or rsus. Now they can just bring your base to 250k with no rsus. It is actually a pay decrease.
Nice well done Amazon.
More engineering talent for AWS Workspaces.
Who wants Shitrix when you can get it from AWS cloud
