After 15 years working at this company I became accustomed to layoffs….some every 6 months; yearly….you never knew. You can be the most loyal, dedicated, reliable, knowledgeable, experienced employee and it did not matter. I breathed a sigh of relief each I made it through a layoff. Then June 2020 happened and many were let go including me. I feel for all the associates because working in that environment was not easy, no matter how much you loved your job….and I loved my job. Just be prepared and if you are an older employee be even more prepared. Good luck to everyone.

It is near impossible to keep focused on work when we are constantly looking over our shoulder. The last layoff in November taught us that the quality of our work and the value we bring has nothing to do with whether we survive the next round. SLT can stop sending us emails about values and culture, it is insulting. If another cut is coming, make it quick .

Is there anyone else left to cut? I guess all of those newly minted directors and VP’s are ripe for a RIF. If you are a white male at corporate, JH has your back. If not, JH and JL will cut you and replace you with a white male at half your pay.
