I see so many folks who get tired of working here - with good reason - leave for another retail company. Do they not realize it's only a matter of time before their new company is in the same situation we are now? Retail is dying. The only jobs that'll be available in a few years are part-time with no benefits and presumption of constant availability. If you've decided to leave, then change the entire industry. At least now that shouldn't be a problem, with the labor shortage in every field.

um do not stay in retail. pay and stability doubles at tech companies.
Retails is not going anywhere. The stores will be smaller, specialized, and with fewer locations. Over time, retail will be a fraction of what it is today. Someone else will own the stores and slash costs / cut all legacy staples employees.
