They should have invested in XenMobile/CEM much more to be able to compete in the new Workspace. But CVAD only blindness by ELT and management and being afraid UEM wil eat market share from CVAD. Guess what it will but now they are fu---d as they ki---d the UEM product.
"But this market, of unified endpoint management tools that bring together under one platform and set of policies the management and security of all PCs, smartphones, laptops, desktops, even VR headsets, is "garnering a lot of interest and attention," says Holtby."
The article is spot on. (1) lack of strategy chops in the ELT and CEO, and not even realizing that they don't know how to do their jobs (2) a rapid change in the market while Citrix still thought that they were kings of a hill- one that has been bulldozed... Sounds like a board that was complacent at best.
The merger with TIBCO is for financial purposes, for the benefit of the PE. No good will come of it for Citrix nor its customers.
