This is good news. The new board of directors will undoubtedly add back more hours and assortment to the stores. They know this has been our downfall and is needed for our success. Back to basics

Just take care of the customer on those situations where they show up early for the ad. Price override it to the price they would be paying in a day or two when the sale starts. Don’t send them away, possibly lose the sale and ask them to make a separate trip- just for them to pay the same price a day later.
You have to let your common sense take over sometimes…
2 to 3 times a day? I remember when we had to schedule two people just to gift package because on a Saturday morning because we had 80 weddings between the four stores in our area and we would go through 4 or five reams of purple paper printing all the registries for all the last minute shopppers.
I haven’t seen a registry in a long time maybe before Covid. Before we would always have to print a registry possibly 2 to 3 times a day. Why aren’t we seeing any type of registry??
Coupons aren’t a big problem. You just have to explain to the customers that it’s not your fault they are stupid and can’t read dates.
The problem with the coupons and ads are they have start dates on them... And are always delivered nearly.. then don't work in the stores til that date.. just another way to make the stores looks bad
Will be good to see more hours in the stores. A winning strategy indeed.
…or they are just preparing for a fire sale. Already want to sell Baby.
Back to basics would be printing more paper coupons and adding bridal registry devices/help. But we are too “tech savvy” and not enough employees to do all that now :/
