The HR environment at Northwestern Mutual is more political than the US government thanks to Don's culture. Like mentioned on many posts prior he has brought in his own women and men that he has worked with in the past and has created a pecking order in the HR department. So many people are seeing less value and many other teams have stood up their own HR subgroups to bypass Don. His has only enraged Don rolling out more of a command and control leadership model, as a team member you can not speak directly to do.
People come and people go but Northwestern Mutual can no longer bring in talent, one because of their pay offers and two because people outside are hearing about the culture issues that Don has brought in that has harmed the company's image externally.
There is hope on the horizon, Don only has ~3 more years when that happens the 7000 employee minus his minions will feel liberated!!!
Now the silver fox as Don's know internally are asking him to go back to your California homeland to refill your full size ego! Find a new cast of a company's to tell how great you are and everything that you have done, please tho this time remove the HP logo from your presentations prior to giving them, no new ideas, rinse repeat, redo...
