Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

I hate the uncertainty

It's causing us so much unnecessary stress and so much frustration. It has started affecting my mental health lately to the point that I can't even relax on weekends. I'm at the point where anything seems better than this, I'm just still too much of a coward to just walk away. I guess they can always force my hand by laying me off.

God please look for something else! The majority of my former team and I have left already and the instant reduction of anxiety was GLORIOUS!

You must take control of the situation (same goes for many other people on here).

There’s no point sitting around waiting for redundancy (unless it’s going to be very large and you know for sure you will be getting it). It’s generally a bad strategy for a few reasons - firstly you stay in a job you hate, life’s too short for that. But more to the point, when you still have a job you should be able to negotiate the next role from a position of strength not weakness. The benefit should outweigh any financial gain from a few months payout.

I know people at Citrix who have been waiting to get laid off for years and are still there. It can only be down to complacency and likely internal fear.

Life’s too short. Try to face your perceived, inadequacies, fears, doubts as best as you can. If you need to get help and assistance. It’s not always easy for sure, but much better than staying in a role that’s making you miserable.

Get the courage and leave. Or get the mind set and milk it and save every penny.
And learn as many new skills as possible . Take control . They will some day through
You to the curb. Happened to me for no good reason after being with Citrix since
It was founded . All political. Do very well, Not fun watching this mess.
The grass is greener on the other side . Lots of opportunities grab them know .

You definitely need to look for another job. It will eliminate the uncertainty.
You get exactly one life my friend. LIVE IT! Don't just let it 'happen' to you while you wait.

Seems like you are scared of changed. Definitely look for another job, it will help your health and most likely you will get a higher compensation.
