Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Is Macy's doing enough to solve the problem of understaffing?

The store where I work is not very big. I understand that Macy’s cares about bigger stores being better stuffed, but I’m really disappointed at how smaller stores are neglected.
We can hardly work with so few employees. This problem has been going on for a long time. The worst thing is that nothing changes in the case of our store. We are still terribly understaffed.

Bigger stores are short staffed also.

Macys will always take care of their bigger doors and do just enough to support the smaller ones. You pretty much have to know someone on the inside to get a true feel for how things are going with business and initiatives for the upcoming months. Hopefully business will pick up as we are in spring and approaching summer.

I am at an “experiential” store and we don’t have enough workers. Next week we our hours will increase from 11-8 Monday through Thursday to 10-9 everyday other than Sunday which will remain 11-7. We don’t have enough workers to cover these new hours for breaks, etc.

It’s only about the money. Bigger stores make more money.
