Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Upcoming Layoffs

Do you expect we'll have layoffs soon and, if yes, how big and when?

I would not be surprised if there’s a massive layoff. If the software is just being supported (by Harris) and not updated then why do you need all the staff?

Sunrise may be in the lower top 10 of hated products..but PRO products still the remaining #1 of most hated products...unsupportable...backed by incompetent leadership...

Would there be any layoffs soon from Allscripts, or by Harris after the acquisition is finalized?

Harris buys companies and products that have declining customer bases.
They will invest NOTHING new.
They will likely cut back areas like Development, CustomerSupport, Prof Services, etc.
Sales will likely stay as is at least for a while.

I suspect reductions will focus on operations areas like IT.

No one saw this coming said nobody. The Sunrise EHR is in the the 10 most hated programs of all time.

Since everyone is going to Harris I doubt your question could be answered honestly.

I feel pretty good about our position right now (from the business perspective) and I am not anticipating any layoffs at Allscripts (for now). BUT... Things change and you never know.
