Here's some advice for those who want to advance at Resideo. While working hard is good, it's nowhere near enough. You need to make sure to praise every idea you hear from senior management, even if you know it's going to end up being a disaster. They don't want to hear they're wrong even when they are. You also need to stay in your manager's good graces at all times, even if that means going against your principles. Nothing comes for free at Resideo, so if you want to advance, be prepared to swallow your pride. If you can't do that, then you'll have to change companies to move forward.

:@1yjq,
I agree with you. What you say works. It’s challenging but making it you feel proud to have done it. At first you have to figure out how to spin so it doesn’t look like spin by making things as long as possible. Eventually we love to another dad. As for innovation… just reuse something old and slap a nice cover on it. It works over and over again, and the money keeps coming
Just grab your ankles, and be ready to say no to senior management when you have learned that person is doomed. Everyone knows: be a yes man/woman except when it’s time to spin and spin, then you say no to point to an even worse idea but an idea that allows everyone to still declare victory …and thus… spin is more money in the pocket
