I don’t know about anywhere else at Parker Hannifan, but at Exotic Metals (Parker Division) in Kent, WA., we have people walking out the door every day! They are leaving for Blue Origin, Boeing, and a number of other places. Parker is not even trying to do what they can to keep these people. We are very quickly getting to the point where we are non-functional. Most of the QE’s have left, welders are walking out the door for more money, QA are all leaving for Boeing. Will the last person leaving Exotic Metals please turn out the lights!!

More layoffs today….just what we don’t need.
Actually, it is not a COLA. It is a “market adjustment”. We are considered a wholly owned subsidiary of Parker, therefore, not to be on the same pay scale. ACIP was about half of what it was last year. Many people here are waiting for the merit raises and if they are not up to par, they are walking. Missed shipments are the new norm.
Expect a COLA increase in August; intended to retain the folks at Exotic that remain. Should coincide with the upcoming merit increases. Not sure what's going on in Kent, but I hear Spokane is a mess. We've had a few voluntary exits here in Phoenix, but nothing major. Profit sharing (ACIP), prob'ly won't be huge....but I would bet that most Fortune 200 companies aren't gonna fork over a pile of cash this year. Good luck up there, brothers & sisters.
I have seen what the original post talks about. It’s been a lot worse then a few people. It’s bad
Welcome to every company over $1bil in revenue? There is a constant churn. Perhaps you're just noticing a few extra in your location. Coincidences happen... but yeah, folks come and go every day.
