Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

I don't want RTO

I don't see the need to return to the office after two years of productive work from home. People are talking about looking for other options if Shell starts pushing the idea of RTO further. Still, I wouldn’t look for another job just because of that. If I decide to leave, I would leave for some other reasons.

However, I would not mind even being paid less, but to continue working from home. Would anyone else agree to such a solution?

If your current employer requires RTO, you’ve got two choices - and you know what they are.

Whining is very unbecoming and unprofessional.

Corporate isn’t paid by you…you are payed by them. Get over yourself or leave.

My manager hasn't enforced anything... yet. My personal max is 2 days a week. If they start pushing more than that then adios~

Don't even float the idea of being paid less to do the same work. Shell employees basically got pay cuts the past two years given the rate of inflation and lack of wage increases.

Don't let them shame you into going back. They will back down if people just don't go.
