Hy-Vee Employees Report Layoffs While Company Remains Quiet

Employees who have recently lost their jobs are reporting layoffs at Hy-Vee. People began contacting KCCI on Monday and reporting the layoffs. KCCI reports that they have repeatedly reached out to Hy-Vee to confirm the layoffs, but the company won't share any details.

Get counsel? When donkeys fly. He thinks he knows more about every job than the person doing the job. He has been known to ask, in all seriousness, why he has to think of everything around here.

The videos were started to increase communication…in some regards they’re very informative and I’d like to believe that Randy is somewhat too candid in them on certain subjects. However, with the restructuring and with the store managers/directors in constant zoom meetings daily it just furthers the skepticism out there that there is more secrets than open door communication. Why would I say that? Because store managers/directors don’t share very much information with employees even though they are in constant meetings…those at the stores just get to see the CEO message.

How are those internal videos being shared? Haven't worked for corporate for a few years now and internal videos weren't a thing.

Seems like some odd propaganda.

Are they really going to pretend that this isn't a layoff by suggesting people were offered store positions instead of corporate positions? What a joke.

He just released an internal video rant attacking the news media, it's impossible and to know who is correct here but considering the employees had no idea what was happening for 5 days, I'm going to suspect they did not provide any information to the media.

Considering it could be argued these were not lay offs since most people were offered a job at stores it did not require reporting to the state also no unemployment benefits if declined.

It feels like he's covering for his buddy and using this an opportunity to further his irrational feud with channel 8.

This guy is out of touch with reality, he would be smart to humble himself and get counsel on how to address the public, his company and media without sounding like a dictator strongman.

They screwed this up internally and want to deflect the blame to news reporters, it's a joke.

Randy, take your medicine.
