Airbus backlog is double the Boeing backlog. COMAC backlog is already half the Boeing backlog.
Boeing has been selling 737Maxs at a loss since the end of the 20 month grounding. Will the potential Delta sale if it actually happens be the first profitable sale since then? How many 737Maxs will we need to sell to break even given the development and law suit costs? 737Max-10 may need to develop a crew alerting system if not certified this year...and FAA just stated this year certification is not likely.
How many 787s will we need to sell to break even given the development cost and the now nearly one year delivery shutdown for manufacturing defects?
How many 777Xs will we need to sell to break even given the development cost and current non-certifiable FAA status?
How many USAF 767 tankers will we need to sell to break even given the development cost and non-operational USAF status.
What is the status of the fixed price 747-400 Air Force One contract given the mass exodus of suppliers and all the resulting law suits?
How many NASA crew launches will we need to sell to break even on Starliner project given the development cost? And how will it be launched in future since we rely on Russian rocket engines?
How much more Boeing real estate is left to sell off to generate cash flow for executive bonuses?

No, Boeing stock will go up for next 18 months. Boeing has more people hawking their stock than they have competent engineers and managers working their many product failures. Boeing also recently implemented a process to allow their favorite people to rotate through executive positions, retire and collect executive severance packages over the next 18 months.
Boeing stock will crash in a few days once the second black box is read.

A new design center probably in India to replace to 2000 engineers they had a Moscow. And of course more layoffs in the US while being given ridiculous tax breaks for a company that essential employees more people out of the US then inside.

The Boeing business model is broken. In 2024 the IAM contract we be up for negotiation and I can see where Boeing will use a new aircraft model as a bargaining chip to members as a take it or leave offer Boeing will hope members make pay and benefit concessions or else jobs will move to right to work states in order to preserve cash.

I think it will be about the same as it is now. I don't expect to see major changed to Boeing for at least a few decades. This is just my personal belief by the way. Some people theorize that certain parts of Boeing could be split or sold off and I believe that could be a possibility.

Airbus is no longer discounting their airplanes and Boeing has been giving away their airplanes. So it doesn't look like Airbus is very concerned about Boeing or that Boeing is looking for future profitability. COMAC has been quietly expanding their backlog with Chinese airlines.
Boeing defense and space products have not been competitive for a long time and there's nothing happening there to change situation.
These days it just seems like Boeing PR is hyping their stock as if their past history and performance still has any relevance to their future performance. Unfortunately, Boeing hasn't had the caliber of engineers and managers for a long time that enabled it to successfully compete in the past. So it seems like we are in the end years for Boeing.

I expect Boeing to lose more of their Asian customers to Comac and to the Mitsubishi regional jet. Expect airbus market share to grow especially with respect to the 737 verses a321. And of course the solution to all these problems is always the solution at Boeing, more layoffs.
