Of course I would. It’s a good company to work for. I retired 30+ years after starting my career in Billings and I always enjoyed the work, who I worked with and who I reported to. The company took good care of me and my family.

As one of those Pegasus people, I experienced a career that post-merger became work. The sense of entrepreneurship was destroyed. Spent more time worrying about SPO's and NLI investigations than worrying about making money and pushing out product.

Watching the fleet disappear (risk), the terminals (risk) and the stations (risk), and then our people be outsourced - it was demoralizing. Spent more time on audits and blamestorming....

Took the PIL and haven't looked back except to track the great people I worked with to verify that they too have escaped.

A friend told me they had the most worst experience when they hired on as top candidate from top tier school. Gaslighting, harassment, no clear mentorship or direction. They left after just a few months and to this day they says it was the best work experience they ever had. Said they learned the brutal reality of performance assessment system corruption where their mentors, supervisors, and 2nd line managers only worried about their self promotion and self preservation. Fast forward … few years later the person is excelling in their career and making 30% more than they would be if they had stayed, and new company management is genuinely caring for and educating and promoting their capabilities. So, now every few months the person continues to tell and repeat to their friends and acquaintances how thankful they are for the experience they had, and how is so glad they learned about the realities of the system and how it affects peoples behavior in the negative.

Definitely a BIG No if its XOM Beaumont Chemical O&A plant. No family work life balance to speak of. Just a do for us management attitude. Always some little project that we have to put someone on which means overtime for everyone. Small group of good ol' boys here running this Sh%#show so if you fall into that group your fine if not S.O.L. The days of going to work for a good company and enjoying the fruits of your labor with your family have long passed here. XOM really needs to drag a fine-tooth comb through its management here or a good purging would help. So, the answer would be H@#L NO!

Seriously ? 10 years ago, would of been a resounding yes.
Now ? With the whole #waem culture war, PIP causing good people to question why they are here, an LT with zero empathy, good execs leaving of their own accord (TD in Chemicals), execs going because they don’t fit the plan despite doing what was asked of them (Big J) , deck chair shuffling with PS, need I go on ??
The answer was perfectly put by a poster earlier, F*** No.

Only as a janitor as they might get a raise unlike the people in ileu with no raise for almost 5 years...good thing the cost of living or medical costs have not gone up.

I would.

He just turned 2 and given his lack of impulse control and good judgement, I think he'd fit in well with our senior management culture.

No. And I would recommend any potential new hires considering to join ExxonMobil to reach out to existing employees (if they are contactable and would like to share their true experience working there) and understand first what it is to work at ExxonMobil and then decide whether you would like to join the toxicity pit or not. Atleast at that point you will be making an informed decision as to what you are getting your self into.

He-l No! Having got the company and mgmt. culture and behavior really exposed, and sheer mis managment and treatment of employees over last two year. I am not sending my kids into toxicity and will advocate anyone else not to fall into the toxic pit named ExxonMobil. Soon to be #YouWereExxonMobil

Of course not. This company is done. There is no future here.

Only if we could get a commitment from a significant sponsor prior to job acceptance.

Obtaining the right sponsor is far more important than competence and performance.

Hahaa. Fvck No! I advised them against it in 2015 and then 2018. They are in Tech and Renewables industries. They have great working lives and home life. Its a real sign of how Oil and Gas isn't going away, but, it definitely ain't what it used to be. Nice on young people!!!

Well, reading this site and the AT&T site here, I’d say neither. This goes to show that the more employees one has, the more negative posts are posted.
