There is no recovering from this

Whether this is a human error or Boeing's fault, it doesn't matter. Whoever sees that video will never want to fly in a Boeing plane again. I don't want to. I know it's not rational, but that's the whole point of it. I truly think this might be the final nail in Boeing's coffin.

Poor people. They fell for nearly three minutes. Their last moments were pure te---r. Fu-k. If this is on us, we deserve to go down.

May not have been rapid depressurization. May have been slow and insidious depressurization. Nosedive occurred at top of autopilot descent.

There is a 737 Airworthiness Directive because of a defective cabin pressurization system that can result in slow depressurization. But like MCAS, the FAA allowed deferring fixing airplanes. Hopefully, everyone on board slowly went to sleep and died from lack of O2 before the te---r of experiencing a 3 minute long vertical nosedive into the ground.

Why any airline would fly much less buy 737s anymore is beyond me. I guess it's all about the money and little else these days.

With the insidious onset of hypoxia, you get that.
The onset of hypoxia is not instant, it starts slowly with loss of coordination,
motor skills, etc. It appears as drunkenness before the person passes out.

Maybe the lower cost stab jack screws they used for a period of time are not as strong or long lasting? They are always looking for lower cost suppliers and don't do much to check if the new parts meet the original engineering specifications. And when they do find defective parts, they don't always replace them in airplanes that have been developed or tell FAA about issue either. The Boeing culture evolved to protect cost and schedule over all things. But even so, I can't recall when Boeing created anything that didn't grossly exceed both cost and schedule.

Rapid decompression event it usually caused by an impact creating an opening. Since they were at cruising altitude it seems more likely that some kind of catastrophic structural failure caused the rapid decompression. I seriously doubt they had impact with any object at cruising altitude.

Nah, as bad as you competitors like to spin it, I fly nothing but Boeing and Airbus, with Boeing being the preference by far, though I do actively try to avoid the MAX series when I can.

It has been well known for some time that there is no long term recovery for Boeing. Just look at how well their competition is doing, how poorly Boeing has done on everything in last 10 years, and the accurate Boeing demise forecast by last competent and honest Boeing people in the famous Bob Bogash "Not Acceptable" 2008 discussion.
