I used to be scared at every slightest rumor about cuts. Now when I hear anything about cuts, the first thought is that it would bring me some kind of relief as well. Anyone else? I started looking for another job and it is encouraging that many say that it has never been easier to get a new, better job.

You are not alone! I wish you luck with your job search. SP has ki---d our culture. It's becoming unbearable.
The best time to find a job is when you already have one. I have not had to look for a job for a number of years, but I hear the market is pretty open right now for people needing a job. Best of luck in your search.
