Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

What's the incentive to stay?

I've been set on leaving for last few months.
Headcount versus workload is a joke and the merit increase was an insult. Interviewing at the moment.
So I'm just waiting on an offer then I'm gone.
Every week there's more and more leaving.

I'm wondering what's the incentive keeping people here?
Are people actually happy here or are they hopeful things will improve?

Merit increases have already taken effect, so if your group hasn't heard, then at least one of two things happened.

One, your manager didn't tell you, which is understandable since it's embarrasing to tell employees they're getting a 2.5% or so annual increase, which is less than most years and in a year with the highest inflation in 30+ years. Check your paystub in Workday to see if March base pay is higher than February.

Two, your group got no merit increase, which sounds odd but I guess it could have happened.

No one in my group has even seen what the merit increase will be for this year. Which groups have already gotten theirs?

The morale is the worst it’s ever been. People aren’t being compensated well, merit was low for many which doesn’t help with the rise in cost of living, managing people is challenging because of the uncertainty, everyone’s questioning everything. Agree with people saying what’s the incentive to stay. Better jobs with better benefits are readily available.

With the problem they have with people leaving are they offering anyone to stay?

Personally I don't think they could ever offer me enough to stay. Just curious if they even try at all.

The merit increase was an insult and the last straw for me. I am now considering two offers which increase my TC by over $200k/year for the next 4 years. I should have looked outside before.

Long term citrites are not comfortable exploring the job market Bc it been 15 yrs for some since they last interviewed. They could be behind the times and have 15 yrs worth of legacy thinking to catch up. Hence their resistance to change

No reason to stay unless you’re rolling the dice on some type of title promotion to advance your career positioning. That’s not me, so I’m staying for RSU vesting and some other perks I’m collecting now. Once that’s all done it’s on me to gtfo or take a chance on getting cut once the sale closes. Heavily favoring leaving.
