If it was hard to find a new job, then I would understand why many are still here just to complain. However, since I know that even those with very few skills manage to find better jobs, then I don't understand why there are so many long-time sufferers here?

If your skills are declined here, it is your problem. It is not a company problem. You should leave or will be laid-off.
I would have to disagree about declining skills. When you pick oranges 🍊 your skills can only be so great! If you mean obtaining a skill at Qualcomm that’s in great demand - that is a different story…. But you are getting skills it’s just in a commodity product…. That seems to be the big disconnect that younger workers struggle to understand….. so you may be the best elevator operator the world has ever seen but elevators are now self service…. Quantum computing with whip Qualcomm off the face of the earth 🌍… but how long will it take for quantum computing to become mainstream???
I think the inertia to change jobs is too strong at Q largely due to how fast the skills decline once you are here. I know many people who are leaving in droves once they realized this (and of course when they get to know they are being paid peanuts)
Classic.
Obnoxiously composed posts left to waft across all our noses. The stench is unmistakably dripping in Q arrogance.
Can you too spot Q pricks from a mile away.
I don’t see long time suffers. I see a bunch of new people wondering if the company is really behind on innovation or is it limited to their department. From the looks at the responses older worker are attempting to educate the younger generation but they don’t seem to get it. The younger generation is asking for an award and to be told they are special.
Why can’t Qualcomm just give them a huge raise and tell them how special they are! They have been special their whole lives and now Qualcomm wants to call them average and they don’t understand why!
