The store I work at is going back to being open 10 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday sometime in April. We are currently 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday and 11 am to 9 pm Friday and Saturday and 11-7 on Sunday. The mall will remain 11-7 Monday through Saturday and 12-6 on Sunday. We don’t have enough people to work overlapping shifts for the current hours so why are we extending the hours? I think more people will quit.

Schedules that came up today have the extended hours on them. In my department for two days, one person works 9:30 to 5:30 and a closer works 4:00 to 9:15 and then for two other days, one person works 9:30 to 3:00 and another person works 1:15 to 9:15. The rest of the week is similar.
Anchor store of desperation to return to “normalcy” 😬 Any extra $$$ to boost profit to (maybe) keep your location alive.
The mall is close to a mass exodus. Macys is trying to survive.
Big mistake. We don't have the staffing to cover all these hours and you won't get more hours to cover the extended closings, either. You will have fewer people during lunch hours and customers will complain. There goes your survey scores!
We have been back like this for a year. Be ready to work harder and do alor more
