I witnessed some questionable things in there. Think of anything bad and unrealistic that could happen at a workplace I guarantee it happened here. Also, guy wasn't just fired. He was charged with fraud and theft.

There was absolutely no need to meaninglessly bump this thread for no reason. All you're doing is irritatingly put it on top of the active list when you have nothing useful to add. Shut up or start a new thread. We dont need threads inactive for more than 1 Month, to be reactivated. Move on.

Transformco decided to quit distributing parts and instead have repair technicians just use duct tape, chewing gum, and baling wire. It's all part of Eddie Lampert's efforts to create an "asset light high profit" retail company.

Maybe good in your area, but anyone I know who used home services lived through a nightmare

Believe me this place was far from empty. We fell under home services and that seems to be the only thing associated with sears doing anything good. Between our relationship with Amazon here, online customer orders and tech orders, plus processing returns, we moved a lot of volume for years.

This shutdown was the result of the GM being fired after 20 some years and nobody else in the incompetent chain of command knowing how to do anything.

Their service technicians never had the right parts for anything. If this was the warehouse for service parts it must have been nearly empty for a long time.
