I've worked for Macy's for almost 30 years. I can attest that 95% of what is written here is NOT TRUE!! Obviously non-employees who have NEVER worked for Macy's and get off on creating division and spreading outright lies. I have no doubt they are sitting in mommy's dark and dank basement in their underwear. Some are also trolling department store Facebook pages spewing the exact same non-sense. Losers!!!

30 years you’ve been working for a company that sells clothes made from forced labor in China, who then ships those clothes to sell in stores where they pay their employees the lowest possible amount. Shame, trolls do live under bridges it’s best not to feed
Retired red badge with 30 plus years … it’s pretty accurate … which is sad and completely crazy . Freelance at 2 other specialty stores now and environment is 100% opposite of what happens at Macys.

I worked for macy's for over ten years in a position that gave me a lot of inside info in a flagship store and have friends who worked in branch stores. Most of the info on here is true!!! I bet this person works in a door that does less than 10 million in a delusional location.

With Macys there is truth to most of the posts as it relates to the business.
Topics such as; staffing, workload, recovery, goals and objectives (for salary too), concerns for store closings, culture and environment those are legitimate issues.
The personal stuff like my manager is cr-p, the board is foolish & of course they will go under completely. That's just complaining as those folks do everyday. This is just another avenue to do it. Research any forum on any platform for retail and you will find all those topics and they all read the same.
The only thing fake I’ve experienced is the action plan leader say they create from the culture pulse surveys.
I recently retired with 29 years of service and can attest that in my experience most everything posted here is definitely true.

If this is fake then explain why your turnover is so atrocious?? People leave faster than Macy’s can hire them. Macy’s is forcing tenured employees out by paying new hires more. And the new hires stay a few months, weeks or days. 🤣🤣😂🤣😂

Working here ten years and yes indeed it is all true and then some. This is the most unethical company in retail.
