Record inflation and still no rumor of when we get our raises

When will we find out. Inflation is starting to hurt.

The reorg will happen when Big news comes out Q2. Bigger than APC merger. Just wait.

INFO-SHARING ON MERITS...

Merits for the Chem unit were announced. It looks like for the majority of officeworkers, the typical-rated ("3") received increases in the vicinity of 5.0-5.1%.

Can someone from OPC share what Houston received?

Nobody on here knows what they are talking about. What re-org? People have talking re-org on here for 5 years. Hasn’t happened.

That makes sense to delay until after the reorg.

Everyone should be messed with by a corporate lay-off at least once in their life. It builds character. People these days are so spoiled to take their jobs for granted.

People should be grateful that their salaries will not decrease except by special circumstances.

Sounds like a bad case of entitlement to me... Raises and promotions were capped / frozen during the downturn at APC. This attitude is a product of the good times the industry enjoyed from 2000 thru 2014. Some of us who remember the 1980's (where from 1985-89 I did not receive a raise) and the entire 1990's (where layoffs were commonplace and raises were not annual). Stop treating your salary as something entitled by birthright.

The only profession where my base salary put me in the top 2%...Add yearly raises...Then give me a 50% cash bonus.....stock grants (every year!)...and a great benefits/savings plan. I am not sure the recent run up of inflation is affecting your ability to build a new pool in the Woodlands or look for a second German SUV.... Enjoy the ride!

If in previous years you were a mid level performer and this year you have a
high rating you will get a nice raise. If you have always been a great performer and are at the top of your salary range you will not get much of a raise.

How much money is it going to take to hide the shame and upcoming consequences of working for Oxy?

If you want a cost of living raise go work for the government or wait around for social security. You should just be content with your oil company salary and bonus.

Raises are always in the pay period that includes April 1st. Raises have nothing to do with inflation.

Yeah, it’s “starting to”. Must be Putin. There was no inflation before February.
