SuperMicro is far more AWS' vibe and a much better value purchase being only 3.5 billion market cap.

Don't expect the regular rotation of layoffs to resume until late summer. HPE departed with a lot of cash from ER and WFR severances the past two years. Dell Technologies is a real thorn in HPE/H3C's side right now. They are also growing faster in revenue. IBM is getting squeezed out of the market.

A friend of mine just left HPE while I was let go a months after covid. We discussed what HPE's fate that lies ahead. I said that I think a possible remerge with HP would be likely. My friend disagreed and said that AWS would be a better candidate. Thinking about it now, the latter would indeed make more sense.

AWS doesn't have as much hardware but if could invest in more hardware if they absorbed HPE.

Previous commenters are right: sales continue to disappoint and it's frankly been like this even before covid. Being in the server HW business is terrible because how often do customers upgrade their HW infrustructure? It's not like HP where you can buy a computer every year or every other year for your business.

HPE lacking severely in their SW solutions. Antonio needs to be ousted and put in someone else who is interested in quantum computing and competing directly with AWS, Google, and Microsoft. Someone else who is not afraid to take risks.

There are a lot of job openings open (not just in India) but this is because HPE's turnover is so massive, it wouldn't surprise me if their new HQ is nearly empty (and it kind of is, I drive by there every day when I go to HP where I work). HPE is NOT expanding handcount, they are simply filling in the holes.

LOL! Yeah, HPE is hiring alright, in India. Another one of my former coworkers just jumped over to AMD. It looks like Nvidia, AMD, and Lenovo are snapping up former HPE engineers. Maybe Lenovo’s overall product quality will finally increase? Lord knows, HPE’s product quality is probably in the dumpster now.

The update I heard today is (a) they’re hiring, (b) and getting some healthy raises. Sounds like they’re all too busy doing good work, to be posting here.

Stock is stagnant. Last quarter was yet another decline in sales, how many quarters in a row is that now? Jobs are being moved off shore and product quality and support continue to decline. In other words: Business as usual in a fading tech company...

Give them time to crunch the numbers and figure out how many heads they have to chop to get their big fat bonuses for hitting their FY22 targets. Heads will roll in 2H, guaranteed
