@3kuu+1fIq5LCw That's right. I mean, the fact is, that there ARE 9 Kmarts, not 3. I think you summed up the reason perfectly, as to why the journalists are going with 3 Kmarts left. Guam is literally the most Profitable one, probably followed by the 4 USVI stores, so why would they just ignore them? While the stateside Kmarts will undoubtedly close, the territorial stores might outlive our future grandkids. I don't see Guam Kmart closing any Time soon.
@1ifv+1fIq5LCw Exactly right. You Know why? Sensationalism. What sounds more dramatic, 3 Kmarts left, or 9 Kmarts left? They are doing it for theatrics. And they get around it by stating "3 Kmarts left IN THE US", which technically isn't incorrect, but it conveniently ignores the 6 Kmarts that Eddie Lampert owns, that are in the territories. And yes, as you stated, when the last stateside Kmart closes, they will conveniently forget the 6 territorial stores. All about getting eyeballs on their silly articles.
I love how all these recent articles seem to forget (or not know about) the remaining 6 island Kmarts. They say only 4 (now 3) Kmarts left, as if the island Kmarts don't exist. Wait till the last stateside store closes, it'll be "last kmart closes"... Meanwhile the Island Kmarts live on.
OK, and? We already Knew this when Jack made his list. And it's a total of 9 stores, because 6 are also in the territories.
And we are now in the month of March. Could we possibly have information that nobody has already heard?
