Now that I want nothing to do with Shell and would volunteer for a layoff in a heartbeat, there's no need for layoffs and there'll be no need for layoffs for a long time to come. I've spent several years worrying about my job and being cut and now that I want out, I have job security again. I'll leave on my own as soon as find a new position, but I hate that I'll save them severance money while doing so.

Don't be silly, Shell is a layoff machine. Increase your chances by using MOR to post into weakest asset with d-mbest manager. As soon as oil price drops you'll be gone
Definition of “Dead Wood”: An Employee who hangs on the payroll, treading water in their position, until the Employer pays them enough to leave so the Employee can leisurely, at their own pace, find something else to do.
Money for nothing and the checks for free….
Yes you have to apply but if the position opens on your current team, pretty good chance you’ll get it
Letter grades are really, really bad. So bad I can't believe it.
That’s nice. Does that person still need to apply to get the full time position? I heard that they won’t change the jg99 to full time recently unless a position opens and they apply to get it.
Unfortunately SVS likely won’t be offered until 2023. A JG99 on our team just got pushed to full JG3 on our team yesterday (no promotion, just not 99 anymore).
