The pay we get is ridiculously low and the conditions we work in are horrible. I've worked at several other retailers and while each had its problems, none came close to the toxicity of Dollar General. This is by far the worst retailer with the worst management I've ever worked for. I got a job here when I moved because I didn't have much choice, but I'll be gone as soon as an alternative pops up.

We pay peanuts because peons accept it. It’s just business, deal with it.
If you haven't been able to find a better retail job than Dollar General this past year, you're doing life wrong. Retailers are begging for people.
