If I could, I would've quit this place as soon as I found out that the new hire was paid more than me. I hope to find something new soon and leave because I don't want to work in a company that humiliates its employees like that. I’m sorry to see this person struggling with his job, but I don’t intend to help him. I'm really interested in what all this will look like when all those who actually do all the work leave and only those who don't even know what they are doing remain here.

Everywhere is paying more for new talent. Some companies are still giving yearly merit increases like Staples used to but yes, get out of the Titanic. It’s pretty much done!
How were you humiliated?
Did anyone stand you up and say "look at this expletive, they work for less than the new person we just hired"
