Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Long-term strategy

There are growing expectations from employees at Lenovo. Employees must always meet their goals.
But what about the company? Does it seem to me or does this company have no clear long term strategy with clearly defined ways to achieve its future goals?

Long-term strategy = golden parachutes for executives, f*ck everyone else.

Keep working, slaves, YY needs another mansion.

It's ok to fire your boss or entire org. if needed. Set a time table and shop around externally or internally. Especially true if a person were stuck in some business unit that has always struggled just to break even (just hypothetically).

Childish topic, immature response.

Corporate Strategy is stamped allover everything they execute on.

3s works, profits up, MORE JOBS in every geo, Number 1 PC company in the world.

25% market share in PC.

Whisper it, July bonus will be the biggest payout in company history.

What dont you understand.

It's not just you. Every year at the kickoff, the grossly overpaid clowns get up and do their dog-and-pony show to try to get the lowly workers charged up about working their tails off for the next year while management plans to play 'Survivor' with people's jobs and careers. They don't know what they're doing. They're politicians and master bullsh!tters - every one of them. They never look beyond the next quarter or two - why bother? Money is made in volume of product and laying off people that cost too much. There used to be a time where there was actual work in corporate strategy, now it's all about survival.. Forget about growth, unless you're friends with a VP.
